Michael moved to Singapore as an expat in 2007 and soon had direct experience of the minefield of financial advice available here; firstly as an unsatisfied client of a large IFA firm, and subsequently as a very satisfied client of a small, boutique IFA firm: GFC.
After a long career in Investment Banking Information Technology (in London, Tokyo, and Singapore), he decided to embark on a new career path in 2017 by joining GFC and thereby making the unusual move from client to advisor.
Michael’s primary objective is to establish long-term relationships with happy, well-informed clients (whether expats, PRs, or Singaporean citizens) who he has helped to make the most of their investment opportunities, and to ensure appropriate coverage for themselves and their families. He is particularly passionate about helping clients avoid some of the expensive pitfalls that he originally experienced himself as an IFA client.
